The new year have just started and we are already on on our way to valentines day once again, so after taking our Christmas décor out we didn’t wait much to switch our decoration with hearts, hugs and a whole lot of love. For this year we decided to go with the colors pink and white and always keeping our greens and wood touches.
This pink and white garland was the first DIY project that we placed on our fireplace, it was made by using Dollar Tree table tennis balls, we make some holes on the balls with our soldering tool and use jute cord to make a garland and hang it on our mantel. We paint them using spray paint in pink and ivory colors to make it match with the rest of the decoration.
This beautiful wooden hearts were also from Dollar Tree and this was a really easy project to make, just add some pink paint on the flat surface and use a drill to place the hearts together using jute cord and done!
This project can be done by using a canvas and a heart from Dollar Tree, use your favorite colors for painting them and also you can buy some stencils to make the words ” Be Mine” or you can use a cutting machine to make them.
This small heart was also bought at Dollar Tree and you can style it the way you want, its a container that comes in a set of four, we spray paint the heart with a river rock color and it give a really nice touch to our mantle.
When we build this fireplace we notice that it really needed a nice brick background to make it look the way we wanted, so of course we went to Dollar Tree to check if we find something we could use and we bought this peel and stick wall paper and it looks amazing in it too.
This is how our fireplace and mantle decoration turnout using items from Dollar Tree that were lightly personalized to match our style, you can make a decoration like this for less than twenty five dollars and make your home looks beautiful without breaking the piggy bank.
